The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to join the KatKin Finance team as Senior Finance Manager. This is a fantastic role for anyone wanting to take their finance career to the next level and help drive a rapidly scaling business. You will be critical in building out KatKin’s core finance operations, ensuring that we implement and maintain robust financial control and reporting processes that enable us to drive the business forwards. This role has huge potential to grow with KatKin as we continue to expand, providing regular exposure to senior management and the broader business as well as the opportunity to really make a mark on how the Core Finance function at KatKin develops. 

This Hands-On Role Includes Ownership Of
  • Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts. You will lead on our month end close process, including the preparation of monthly journals, account reconciliations and stock accounting, through to the production of full financial statements. 

  • Preparation of monthly review packs, turning the numbers into valuable insights for senior management and stakeholders across the business, with particular focus on performance vs budget.

  • Partner with business units (Operations, Commercial, Growth, R&D etc.) to support them in understanding their numbers and implement effective budget control. 

  • Management of KatKin’s core finance processes, driving forward improvements to ensure we are operating efficiently and effectively, utilising automation wherever possible. This includes activity such as accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll and cash management. You will manage our AP Associate who will support you with this. 

  • Preparation of short-term cashflow forecasts based on the latest activity to enable close monitoring of upcoming cash needs of the business. 

  • Oversight of employee expenses and ensuring alignment with policies. 

  • Responsible for filing VAT returns and other tax activity including R&D tax credits. 

  • Supporting with our annual audit, dealing with requests and assisting with the preparation of information. 

  • Supporting with administrative and statutory obligations related to investment funding rounds. 

Who You Are
  • Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience

  • Impeccable eye for detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. 

  • Knowledge of statutory reporting and technical accounting best practices

  • Have a strong sense of ownership, you set a high standard and are always looking to raise the bar further

  • Track record of system and process improvement, and generating new insights

  • Ability to get to grips with and report on complex data, exposure to data visualisation tools such as Looker would be advantageous

  • Experience using accountancy tools and ERP software, ideally Xero (our accounting software)

  • Hunger to learn cross-functionally in DTC and FMCG, spanning manufacturing, e-commerce, data

  • You want to get in on something from day one - to change, create and build something
