All about your role

Located in Haverhill, the KatKin Kitchen is where our fresh, 100% human-quality meat food is gently cooked and frozen. We are looking for an exceptional full-time Quality and Process Manager to join our Technical team in  delivering a first-class technical service across food safety, quality, legislative and customer requirements.

Reporting directly to our Technical Manager and working closely with our highly motivated food manufacturing  team you will be the key contact for all things food safety and quality related. 

This Hands-On Role Includes Ownership Of
  • Be responsible for day-to-day aspects of food safety and product quality to meet or exceed all customer, regulatory and company      standards 

  • Ensuring daily / weekly / monthly QA scheduled tasks (i.e. GMP, calibrations, audits and sampling) are completed on time and any     subsequent actions are followed up

  • Handling customers' quality queries, raw material supplier, and product non conformities to make sure they are thoroughly                   investigated and the root causes established with corrective actions

  • Leading the development and maintenance of effective quality procedures, material specifications, standard operational procedures, work instructions and cleaning procedures for manufacturing and general areas

  • Ensuring products are compliant to food safety, recipe specifications and quality standards prior to releasing

  • Supporting inbound raw material specification checks and controls to ensure compliance and supplier approval system, including the management and maintenance of intake database and internal specifications 

  • Assisting in the maintenance of site documentation and product traceability

  • Leading on projects to support food safety and quality

  • Driving levels of accountability for food safety culture across the site 

  • Ensuring the site is always audit ready and working to a high standard

Who we’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high care ready meals or cooked meat product FMCG food manufacturing site

  • Comfortable with agricultural animal food production (chicken, beef, pork, fish, turkey, lamb, duck) 

  • Experienced knowledge of health and safety/food safety systems & legislation:

    • Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 minimum 

    • HACCP Level 2 minimum

    • Listeria, Micro awareness knowledge 

    • Root cause analysis 

  • Worked across functionally with a range of teams (Technical, Production, Engineering, and Quality)

  • Have a proven track record of QA, systems management or HACCP in food manufacturing 

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise your workload within a pressurised environment

  • Are a strong communicator and able to communicate with internal teams,  external customers, suppliers, external authorities and        visitors in a professional manner

  • Ability to reliably commute or relocate to CB9 7FD
