KatKin's Opportunity
For uncompromising cat parents who want the best, KatKin goes hardcore for cat health. We make the UK’s only fresh cat food: 100% human-quality meat, gently cooked, and frozen for freshness.

Where the competition cuts corners, catfishes customers and puts profits over health, we put cat wellbeing first. No shortcuts. No secret recipes. We’re cutting the fluff, thinking fresh and channelling hardcore love into industry-wide change. So cats live long and cat parents can love hard without compromise.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us

If you want to join and grow an ambitious, mission-driven, high-growth startup that’s making a genuine difference to cats’ (and their people’s) lives, you’ll love working at KatKin.

We’re a small, entrepreneurial, creative team, focused on the mission to give all cats the food they truly deserve - 100% fresh human-grade meat.

We hire the best, so you’ll work with, learn from and challenge top D2C industry talent to help us achieve our mission.

The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated finance professional to come join our team as our Accounts Payable Associate on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This is a vital role within our finance team that enables smooth running of our financial operations through execution of our AP and AR processes, as well as supporting our financial reporting through timely and accurate reconciliations within our accounting system. In this role you will gain unique insight into the workings of KatKin and broad exposure to stakeholders across the business. We are looking for someone that possesses high attention to detail, curiosity to learn and a proactive approach to working with purchasers and suppliers.
Key ownership areas
  • You will manage our accounts payable inbox, liaising with suppliers on invoices and dealing with any payment queries to ensure that strong supplier relationships are maintained.

  • You will play a vital role in the processing and review of invoices for payment through our AP platform (Nook), utilising its automated features to efficiently process invoices, review accuracy and ensure the implementation of the relevant approval flows.

  • You will prepare approved invoices for payment on a weekly basis, ensuring that all PO matching and approvals are secured and leading a review meeting with our Head of Finance and CEO for final approval ahead of payment. As part of this you will need to work closely with stakeholders across the business, particularly with Operations, to remain aware of any supplier issues or delays to projects that may impact payments.

  • You will play a key role in bank account management, ensuring that fund levels are maintained across bank accounts in multiple entities and currencies.

  • You will take ownership of our accounts receivable process, ensuring that invoices are raised in a timely manner to our growing retail customer base.

  • You will own the bank reconciliation, ensuring that that transactions are correctly matched within Xero.

  • You will support our Financial Controller and the wider accounts team in various month end activities and support in our annual audit.

Who we are looking for:
